What it means here
Blind shipping means the parcel that reaches your buyer carries no indication of who manufactured it. In our case that is absolute: no company or brand name appears anywhere on the label or the box. Not WallArtPeople, and — this surprises people — not your shop name either.
The sender shown on the label is the name and address of a private individual on the production side. That is what a courier requires to move a parcel across a border, and it is deliberately not a brand of any kind.
What is actually on the parcel
- Sender
- A private individual's name and address on the production side. No company, no brand, no logo.
- Recipient
- Your buyer, exactly as you entered the address on the order.
- Contents declaration
- Described accurately for customs. Under-declaring value or mislabelling contents is not something we will do — it is the buyer who gets held at customs when it goes wrong.
- Inside the box
- The piece, its mounting hardware and protective packaging. Nothing else.
- Not included
- No invoice, no price, no packing slip showing what anything cost.
Customs: DDP, and why it matters more than branding
Every parcel ships DDP — Delivered Duty Paid. Import duties and charges are settled on the sending side, so your buyer is not asked for money at the door.
This is the part sellers underestimate. A neutral label protects the illusion; a surprise customs invoice destroys the sale. In cross-border physical goods, a courier asking the buyer for an unexpected payment before they will hand over the parcel is one of the most reliable ways to earn a bad review on an otherwise perfect order.
What blind shipping does not cover
- Custom inserts are not supported. No logo card, no thank-you note, no branded tissue — nothing goes in the box that is not the product and its hardware. It is a feature we are considering, not one we have.
- Branded outer packaging is not available either. The box is a plain shipping box.
- Tracking pages belong to the courier. Your buyer sees a standard FedEx tracking page and an origin country, not a branded portal.
- The origin country is visible. Blind means no brand, not anonymous — customs paperwork shows where the parcel was made, as it must.
- Tracking numbers do not push to Etsy automatically. You copy them from the order page in the portal.
How this squares with Etsy's rules
Blind shipping is not a way around declaring who makes your product. Etsy requires you to name a production partner when someone else manufactures your design, and the Ships from and production partner details on your listings have to reflect what actually happens. The two things are separate: Etsy needs the truth in your shop settings, and your buyer receives a parcel without a manufacturer's branding on it.

Frequently asked
Can you put my shop name on the shipping label?+
No. The sender field names the party that actually exported the goods, and that is the production side, not your shop. What we guarantee is that no brand name at all appears on the parcel — including ours.
Will my buyer see the price I paid?+
No. There is no invoice, price or packing slip in the box. The customs declaration describes the contents accurately, as it is legally required to.
Can I include my own insert or card?+
Not today. Nothing goes in the box except the product and its mounting hardware. We are considering it as a future feature but it is not available now.
Does my buyer pay customs duties?+
No. Parcels ship DDP, so duties and import charges are settled on the sending side and the buyer is not asked to pay anything on delivery.
Which countries do you ship to?+
Most standard destinations are supported and priced per country in the quote table. Australia and New Zealand have not been standard destinations for a long time — ask for a size-specific quote before accepting an order from there.
